Houston Marathon
WOW, I am really excited to be officially registered for the Houston Marathon! I have been training ongoing all year, but now I am going to kick it in high gear. I really want to be in the best shape of my life! Marathon training is the best way to get FIT! So, here I go. I use the Focus n Fly plan because it is completely customizable for me. Right now I am up to about 25 miles a week, but I can change that. Saturdays are always the long run, and 3 days during the week are approximately 5 miles a day. Right now I am wanting to get my speed up a little on the long runs. It has been so hot, and I am lucky to get 13 min miles in. My goal is to run the Houston Marathon with a 12 minute mile. Stay FIT!

Newtons are IT!
I just came in from my second run with the Newton running shoes. They are amazing (so far) I hope I finally found my shoe. Makes me excited to run! I love it! 5 miles today in the park.

Run Baby Run!
5 miles today on the treadmill, too hot to go outside, even at 6AM! Summer is wonderful, but not for distance running :) I am ready to make the commitment for the Houston Marathon. I will let you know if I make it in.

National Parks are Cool
My only complaint is that we did not have enough time! Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks are incredible! So much to see, and even more trails to hike. We did not have enough time to take it all in. I want to go back!

First Class of Summer
Tonight I attended my first class of Child psychology. Wow! Going to be very interesting. I have so much to learn, and I have two teenagers. I still don't know anything :)
